Litematica Guide

We use the litematica mod for many group server projects. The mod allows holograms (schematics) to be placed that you can then build from. The mod includes a function called easy place, which allows you to correctly place the correct block from a schematic with a click.

Litematica Settings & Common Questions:

Important for Mutiplayer

Use the Slabs only option for the easyPlaceProtocol under the generic menu in configurations. Litematica menu -> Configuration Menu, or the default hotkey M + C

This helps prevent ghost blocks or no blocks placing with easy place.

Q. How do you render one layer at a time?

You can control the rendered layers on the Render Layers tab inside the in-game config menu (via the Main menu -> Configuration Menu, or the default hotkey M + C). You can render single layers on the y, x, or z axis.

Q. If you’ve just installed litematica and it doesn’t open with m or m+c then it’s likely you’ve got another mod set on that key (maps are a common one) or it's not installed correctly.

Check that the mod is installed and working: check if you see the orange Litematica text on the F3 screen.
If you are on a non-QWERTY keyboard layout, then the default hotkeys are different. For example on AZERTY the Mkey is , instead, so the config menu hotkey for example is , + C.

Q. How do I use easy place?

You need to turn easy place on for it to work:

Litematica Menu -> Configuration menu -> Generic - set easyPlaceToggle to true

Litematica Menu -> Configuration menu -> Hotkeys - choose a key(s)

tip

Optional - by default you have to click on each schematic block to place a block. You can change this to hold down left click and place blocks wherever you look.

Litematica Menu -> Configuration menu -> Generic - set EasyPlaceHoldEnabled to true
